Thai researchers increase export potential of native durian via progressive ripening inhibition expertise

The National Research Office (NRO), beneath the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in Thailand, introduced it supports the switch of durian production technology and ripening inhibition technology.

During the visit, Supap Panlap, or Jib, owner of the Lin Laplae Durian Orchard, performed host together with the researchers led by Associate Professor Dr Peerasak. The orchard grows several sorts of durian, specifically Lin Laplae, Lhong Laplae, and Mhorn Thong, which originate from Jib’s grandfather, Lin Poomlad, known as the origin of the famous “Lin Laplae Durian” of Laplae Town.
